PARIPPU PAYASAM

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Moong Dal
  2. Jaggery – 2 Balls
  3. Coconut Milk- A Can
  4. Cashew Nuts
  5. Dry grapes

METHOD:
  • Fry the moong dal till slight brown and keep aside to cool.
  • Meanwhile melt the jaggery and keep aside.
  • Pressure cook the dal for about 6 whistles, such that it is in a mashed form. 
  • Then add the jaggery (as per sweetness required) to the cooked dal.
  • Keep stirring throughout else the jaggery would become hard.
  • Then pour a can of coconut milk into the mix and let it boil.
  • In a pan fry cashew nuts and the dry grapes and garnish the payasam.
