PARIPPU
PAYASAM
INGREDIENTS:
- Moong Dal
- Jaggery – 2 Balls
- Coconut Milk- A Can
- Cashew Nuts
- Dry grapes
METHOD:
- Fry the moong dal till slight brown and keep aside to cool.
- Meanwhile melt the jaggery and keep aside.
- Pressure cook the dal for about 6 whistles, such that it is in a mashed form.
- Then add the jaggery (as per
sweetness required) to the cooked dal.
- Keep stirring throughout else
the jaggery would become hard.
- Then pour a can of coconut milk
into the mix and let it boil.
- In a pan fry cashew nuts and the
dry grapes and garnish the payasam.
